HIMYM's Exec Producer Inks Two-year Deal

How I Met Your Mother by Eric McCandless/CBS
Fans of How I Met Your Mother can rest easy. Not only will they ( maybe) be seeing the show for at least two more years, but they'll also be getting more series from the show's exec producer, Greg Malins. Per Variety, the showrunner has signed a two-year deal with 20th Century Fox to stick with Mother - and to develop new ideas for the studio.

Malins said that, given how much he likes the show, the decision was not difficult. The deal is described as being "in the significant seven-figure range," which never hurts, either. Along with getting back to shooting Mother June 13, the producer said he also has a few new ideas in mind, for potential single- and multi-camera series.
