The here! television network has acquired both 10-episode seasons of
Sugar Rush, a highly acclaimed UK series.
Starring Olivia Hallinan and based on the Julie Burchill novel of the same name,
Sugar Rush revolves around Kim, a 15-year-old girl dealing with a crazy crush on Sugar (Lenora Crichlow), her best gal pal, while contending with a dysfunctional family. Kim's bad-girl ways have made her a popular anti-heroine for young British lesbians, while the series itself has won a British Emmy and been nominated for a BAFTA. -
