Once Upon a Time in Mexico, the third and final installment of Robert Rodriguez's gunslinging mariachi trilogy starring Antonio Banderas and Johnny Depp, debuted atop the box office over the weekend with $24 million. The Nicolas Cage con artist caper Matchstick Men opened at No. 2 with a so-so $13.3 million, followed by the new spookfest Cabin Fever (No. 3 with $8.5 million). Bill Murray's Lost in Translation, meanwhile, found a huge audience in limited release. The well-reviewed dramedy grossed a spectacular $901,143 in just 23 theaters.
