Esai Morales Cast on Caprica — as Adama's Father

On the heels of the news that
Deadwood's Paula Malcolmson had landed the female lead in Sci Fi Channel's
Battlestar Galactica prequel movie/backdoor pilot, Esai Morales has joined the
Caprica cast in the role of Joseph, a "deeply passionate man with a strong sense of justice - and someone you wouldn't want as your enemy," says the
Reporter. Oh, and Joe's last name is Adama, as in the father of one day Galactica commander William.
Morales most recently had a run on
Jericho (ah,
Jericho), but I'll always remember him from
Bad Boys (the 1983 one).
