Thanks to a boost of buzz from her eight Grammy nods, Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi is poised to best 50 Cent's The Massacre as the year's best-selling album. As of the latest tally, Mimi had sold 4.86 million copies (a robust 290,000 the week of Dec. 18 alone), compared to Massacre's 4.83 mil. Looks like Fitty came up a dollar short. (Snicker) OK, I'm going to hide now.
