Disney Channel Rocks the Ratings

Friday night's premiere of the Disney Channel's
Jonas Brother-anchored TV-movie/musical
Camp Rock racked up 8.9 million total viewers, making it cable's most-watched entertainment telecast of 2007/2008 and Disney's No. 2 original movie behind last year's landmark
High School Musical 2.
Unsurprisingly, last night's telecast ranked No. 1 among kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14. But Disney was also the most-watched network from 8-10 pm/ET, besting CBS (5.8 million viewers) by more than 3 million sets of eyeballs.
The TV-movie will be broadcast again tonight on ABC's
Wonderful World of Disney and Sunday night on ABC Family. -
