DeGeneres and de Rossi Wed in Intimate Ceremony

Daytime talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres and Australian actress Portia de Rossi tied the knot Saturday night, People reports. According to a statement from the couple's spokesperson, the "intimate" ceremony was held at the couple's Los Angeles home and was attended by 19 guests, including DeGeneres' and de Rossi's mothers.

The couple, who have been dating since December 2004, exchanged handwritten vows and rings by Neil Lane.

DeGeneres announced the couple's plans to wed on her talk show in May after California's Supreme Court ruled that a previous ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional. - Adam Bryant
