Apparently in his year behind bars Robert Downey Jr. didn't see what a disaster Ally McBeal had deteriorated into. Fresh out of prison on drug charges, Downey has been cast on Fox's floundering David E. Kelley drama as Calista Flockhart's love interest. According to reports, the troubled actor will appear in eight episodes beginning with the show's Oct. 23 season premiere. "David's a genius, Calista's awesome, and once again, I have a choice of shirt colors," joked Downey, who reportedly will pull in between $75,000 and $100,000 per episode.
