A day after being released from prison, Robert Downey Jr. has checked himself into a Southern California drug rehab facility, Reuters reports. On Wednesday, an appeals court ruled that the 35-year-old Oscar nominee was not credited for time he served in rehab. According to his lawyer, the actor — who scarfed down a hamburger upon his release — is focusing on "putting his life back together" and will remain in an after-care treatment program for 40 days, at which time his parole will kick in.
