Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres has announced that when her syndicated chatfest begins its third season on Monday, part of the program will be devoted to raising funds for the American Red Cross' hurricane-relief effort. The Metairie, La., native's production company, Warner Bros., already has donated $500,000 to the campaign and will match viewer contributions up to that amount. There are also plans to solicit donations during the DeGeneres-hosted Emmy telecast airing Sept. 18.
