Christian Slater's Enemy Finds a New Wife

Christian Slater has a new wife for his double-duty character on My Own Worst Enemy.

The star of the new NBC series will now be betrothed to Madchen Amick, who will play wife to Slater's Henry, a suburban dad whose alter ego is a spy, the Hollywood Reporter says. Amick's character is in the dark about her husband's secret life.

Amick, who will also be heating things up on Gossip Girl this season, is replacing Yara Martinez, in the second shake-up for the show in 10 days. As previously reported, she show's creator, Jason Smilovic, stepped away from daily operations and John Eisendrath was upped to executive producer.

For some of us, it's tough to picture Slater with anyone but Samantha Mathis or Winona Ryder (take your '80s movie pick), but for the rest: Will Slater and Amick make a good couple - at least, until Henry's secret side unfolds? - Anna Dimond
