Isaac Hayes has quit his job voicing
South Park's Chef, saying he can no longer tolerate the series' attacks on religion. "There is a place in this world for satire, but there is a time when satire ends and intolerance and bigotry begins," Hayes says in a statement.

Matt Stone tells the Associated Press that Hayes' decision stems from the series' recent slam on Scientology, which the soul singer follows. "He's cashed plenty of checks with our show making fun of Christmas," says Stone. "He wants a different standard for religions other than his own, and to me, that is where intolerance and bigotry begin."
