CARREY'S STRONG B.O.

Rubber-faced funnyman Jim Carrey was tops at the weekend box office, grossing $24.1 million with the gross-out comedy Me, Myself & Irene. Last week's No. 1 pic, Shaft, dropped to the third position with $13.3 million. Other top pics included Chicken Run ($17.5 million), Gone in Sixty Seconds ($9.5 million) and Big Momma's House ($8.7 million).
