Bravo Welcomes SJP's New Reality Series

Just as they are about to lose their cash cow Project Runway to Lifetime, Bravo is gearing up to swap sewing machines for paintbrushes for their new reality-competition show, American Artist.

Backed by Pretty Matches, Sarah Jessica Parker's production company, and reality gurus Magical Elves ( Runway, Top Chef), the new series follows 12 aspiring artists who compete by producing various kinds of artwork in different mediums, including painting, photography and sculpture.

According to Variety, Parker, who was a guest judge last season on Runway, will most likely stay behind the scenes in her executive producer role, but could potentially appear in front of the cameras should it "make sense creatively."
