Universal's State of Play because even a series of meetings with director Kevin MacDonald (
The Last King of Scotland) couldn't ease his concerns about the script (which, thanks to the writers strike, can't be altered). What's more, the
Hollywood Reporter adds, the studio is considering
suing the actor as it seeks to replace him in the political thriller with Johnny Depp or Russell Crowe. Unless you've got a better idea? -
