Amy Jo Johnson Gets to the Flasphoint

She's played Keri Russell's best friend on Felicity and Janis Joplin in the musical Love, Janis, but try as she might, Amy Jo Johnson still finds herself recognized as the Pink Ranger of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Even in Argentina. It happened when "I went there over Christmas," Johnson recalls. "And that [show] was 15 years ago!" Perhaps her new role on CBS' Flashpoint (Fridays at 10 pm/ET), as the only female sniper on an elite team of cops, will erase that pink memory.

"I wanted to do something that my father would enjoy watching," says Johnson, now four months pregnant with her first child. "[But] I thought, I don't know if they'll really want a pregnant sniper." Despite her worries, the actress got the part of markswoman Jules Callaghan and immediately started a week of training with a real-life SWAT team, alongside cast mates Enrico Colantoni and Hugh Dillon.
