It's official: Friends star Courteney Cox and husband David Arquette are expecting their first child. There's no word on a due date, but rumors that a baby was on the way began swirling in October when David's actor-brother Alexis let the cat out of the bag on The Sharon Osbourne Show. Cox — who has been candid about her struggle to have children — recently told Barbara Walters that she had suffered "many miscarriages" and had begun using pre-genetic testing to lessen the possibility of losing another baby. read more

Fox Television Entertainment Group chairman Sandy Grushow announced Monday that he is stepping down to form his own 20th Century Fox-based production company. "This was a very complicated decision for me to make," he said. "I've accomplished more than I ever thought possible [at Fox] — from helping to launch a network that no one thought would ever succeed, to leading the television studio to industry prominence, to leading the network to a record three consecutive second-place season finishes, including two historic sweeps victories." According to Variety, Broderick and Lane have inked a seven-figure deal to headline a film adaptation for Universal Pictures. Shooting is expected to get underway in 2005. The project brings The Producers full circle, since the stage show itself is an adaptation of Mel Brooks' 1968 big-screen comedy. Fear Factor: The Twin Episode
That bee stunt was evil! Japanese game show type of evil. While one twin was chained between two posts and covered with bees, the other had to dig through drawers filled with the buzzing bugs to find the keys to free the sibling. Ouch. It wasn't cute. And, did you see how Joe Rogan pushed contestants away from him after the stunt? Dude was not trying to get stung.

Still Standing
It's a New Year so I'm trying to watch new things. But sticking with this was hard. Jami Gertz having three kids — two of them teenagers — that's just not easy to grasp. And don't even get me started on the Chi-cah-go accents. Props to the writers, though, for nailing the insurance anguish problem. And for coming up with a TV channel that doesn't exist yet but probably will in five years. The name: The Fairy Tale Channel.
