James Marsden will drop by 30 Rock when the NBC comedy returns for its sixth season, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The X-Men actor, 38, will appear in at least one episode, and possibly more, but NBC would not reveal what character he will play. Last month, 30 Rock put out a casting a call for the recurring role of Liz Lemon's new love interest. The unnamed character was described as an easygoing California native with liberal values and a youthful innocence. Could Marsden fit that bill? You decide.

Marsden most recently starred in the remake of Straw Dogs and had a memorable guest appearance on Modern Family last season as Cam and Mitch's charming
Other guest stars for this coming season include Denise Richards, who tweeted about her appearance early Wednesday, and Will Arnett, who will reprise his Emmy-nominated role as Devon Banks.
30 Rock is set to return sometime midseason on NBC. No premiere date has been announced.
