30 Days Takes Biggest Bite of Weekend Box Office

Andrew B. Stehlin in 30 Days of Night courtesy Columbia Pictures

The vampire flick 30 Days of Night this weekend topped the box office with an estimated gross of $16 million. That was enough to unseat the previous champ, Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married? ($12 mil).

Rounding out the top five were The Game Plan ($8.1 mil), Michael Clayton ($7.1 mil) and - currently in a dead heat for fifth-place honors - Team Affleck's Gone Baby Gone and the sports spoof The Comebacks, each of which is hovering around $6 mil.
