The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Storyand This Is Usled Monday's Golden Globe Awards nominations.

FX's People v. O.J. Simpson is up for five awards, including TV movie/limited series, and acting honors for Emmy winners Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson and Sterling K. Brown. John Travolta also received a nomination.

Golden Globe snubs and surprises: Orange, Horror Story shut out while broadcast makes a comeback

Brown's latest series, This Is Us, nabbed three nods: drama series, and supporting actress mentions for Chrissy Metz and Mandy Moore. This Is Us will vie for the top honor against The Crown, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and Westworld. Defending champ Mr. Robotwas dropped, but stars Rami Malek and reigning supporting actor winner Christian Slater both made it in.

Reigning comedy series champ Mozart in the Jungle will try to defend its crown against Atlanta, Black-ish, Transparent and Veep.

On the film side, La La Land led the way with seven nominations.

The 74th Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, will air Sunday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC.
