Fall TV: Get the lowdown on this season's must-see new shows

Over the past several weeks, we've conducted a series of polls in our Fall TV Popularity Contest, asking users which shows they liked and which they didn't. The competition was fierce, but after nearly 350,000 votes were cast, a champion has emerged: Fox's Gotham! The Batman prequel series, which stars Ben McKenzie as a young Jim Gordon who works against and alongside nascent versions of such supervillains as the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), the Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) and Catwoman (Camren Bicondova) as he tries to fix a corrupt city, received a 77 percent approval rating from TVGuide.com users. The show, which was easily the most anticipated new show of the season, recently had its episode order increased to a full 22-episode season. Gotham follows in the footsteps of previous Popularity Contest winners Sleepy HollowArrow and Revenge.
