2013 SAG Awards Predictions: Who Will Win?

Awards season makes its second stop Sunday at the 19th Screen Actors Guild Awards (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on TNT/TBS). While we count down the minutes, let's take a stab at who will take home the big prizes. Can Homeland keep its win streak going? Will we see a Best Picture front-runner come out of this? Check out our predictions below and tell us yours.

TELEVISION
Drama Ensemble
Will win: Homeland
The SAGs had egg on its face last year when it didn't even nominate Homeland for anything. Look for it to rectify that by awarding TV's hottest ensemble. A win would make it the first drama series since Mad Men three years ago to hold the top three TV prizes (Emmys, Golden Globes, SAGs).
Watch out for: Downton Abbey
Everyone's bloody obsessed with the stately, high-browed period drama, which has the benefit of airing in the U.S. during the voting period.
Comedy Ensemble
Will win: Modern Family
The two-time defending champ lost the Globe to Girls, but the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has never fully been on board the ModFam Express. At the industry awards, however, the ABC hit has been nearly perfect and with the SAG voters being creatures of habit, it'll be the first comedy to three-peat.
Watch out for: The Big Bang Theory
It's TV's biggest show right now (no pun intended) and it's time it has something to show for it.
Drama Actor
Will win: Damian Lewis, Homeland
Lewis' tortured terrorist and complicated tango with Claire Danes have been sights to behold. Plus, with the future uncertain for Brody, this may be the most fitting chance to award the reigning Emmy and Globe champ.
Watch out for: Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad
Despite his three straight Emmy wins, Cranston's riveting work has gone un-rewarded by SAG. If not now, when?

Drama ActressWill win: Claire Danes, HomelandDenying Danes and her volcanic tour-de-force performance will be near impossible.Watch out for: Jessica Lange, American Horror Story: AsylumThe defending champ benefits from AHS' anthology format and can impress her peers with her strikingly different turn as the manipulated Sister Jude versus last season's master manipulator Constance.Comedy Actor
Will win: Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock
Never bet against the undefeated six-time -- yes, six -- defending champ. The fact that it's 30 Rock's final season doesn't hurt either.Watch out for: Louis C.K., LouieFew are as respected as the multi-hyphenate for his irreverent voice and vision. Just ask Rolling Stone.Comedy Actress:Will win: Amy Poehler, Parks and RecreationBelieve it or not, this is Poehler's first SAG nomination. She has yet to win a major award for Parks and Rec, but between her delightfully daffy Leslie and killer Globes hosting stint, that dubious streak should finally end. (Globes co-host and fellow nominee Tina Fey has won this three times already.)Watch out for: Betty White, Hot in ClevelandNo one loves the Golden Girl, who's on a two-year win streak, more than the SAGs. If she wins again, she'll join Fey and Megan Mullally as the only three-time winners in the category.TV Movie/Miniseries Actor
Will win: Kevin Costner, Hatfields & McCoysCostner got his best reviews, not to mention record-breaking ratings for the History Channel, in years for his turn in the miniseries and ought to add a SAG to go along with his Emmy and Golden Globe. Watch out for: Woody Harrelson, Game ChangeHarrelson's performance kept getting better as his campaign strategist kept getting more frustrated.
TV Movie/Miniseries Actress
Will win: Julianne Moore, Game ChangeDuh. Game over. This would be Moore's first win in 10 nominations.Watch out for: Nicole Kidman, Hemingway & GellhornThe SAGs haven't been the biggest Kidman fans (she's never won one and they didn't nominate her for Moulin Rouge), but her two nominations this year (she's also up for supporting actress for The Paperboy) is a good sign.

Ensemble
Will win: Silver Linings Playbook
The fact that SLP became the first film in 31 years to receive Oscar nominations in all four acting categories is telling. Jacki Weaver may not have made the SAG supporting actress cut, but there's no denying that actors love the movie, which is a nice showcase for all the stars involved.
Watch out for: Lincoln
Argo is a threat as well, especially if there's residual Ben Affleck pity, but of all the nominees, Lincoln features a true mass ensemble -- there are more than 100 speaking parts -- that fluidly fires on all cylinders, especially in the chaotic House of Representative scenes. Unfortunately, something that voters may or may not be aware of, because of the SAGs' quirky rules, only seven of Lincoln's stars are eligible to receive the award.
Lead Actor
Will win: Daniel Day-Lewis, Lincoln
One of the few locks of the night. Day-Lewis' immersive performance will be required study for future thespians. Fun fact: Already the category's only two-time winner, DDL would extend that mark to three.
Watch out for: Hugh Jackman, Les Miserables
The well-liked star's acting and singing efforts are to be admired.
Lead Actress
Will win: Jennifer Lawrence, Silver Linings Playbook
This is between Lawrence and Jessica Chastain, and we'll (barely) tip the former. Lawrence is the bigger name in the much more beloved (and totally not controversial) movie with the splashier performance. More than any other awards body, the SAGs tends to award actors from films with broader appeal and popularity (see: Renee Zellweger in Chicago, Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl). If Lawrence wins, at 22, she'd be the category's youngest winner.
Watch out for: Jessica Chastain, Zero Dark Thirty
Chastain's breakout year last awards season, in which she appeared in six films, was the fruitful result of years spent working under the radar in theater and -- something that won't be ignored by her fellow actors who are still toiling away for their big break. Her subtle yet powerful turn as an unyielding CIA agent is also the type of female role that is rarely seen these days.

Supporting ActorWill win: Robert De Niro, Silver Linings PlaybookThis is the most open race, with only Javier Bardem (Skyfall) out of it, but we'll go with De Niro. The SAGs is very deferential to its elders and because it's only 19 years old, most acting legends don't have an Actor statuette on their mantels, De Niro being one of them. SLP has also served as a nice comeback film for the two-time Oscar winner, who's spent the better part of the past decade in schlock. Watch out for: Tommy Lee Jones, LincolnWe just hope this is the Lincoln scene-stealer's winner and loser face.Supporting ActressWill win: Anne Hathaway, Les MiserablesAnother lock. Hathaway and her unflinchingly raw Fantine will dream a dream all the way the Oscar stage, Hathahaters be damned.Watch out for: Sally Field, LincolnField humanized the woman that history remembers as insane. The two-time Oscar winner has a SAG for Brothers & Sisters, but none for her film work (she was nominated at the first ceremony for Forrest Gump).Who do you think will win?
