After only two weeks in the top spot on the pop charts, Eminem's Encore was dislodged by the release of U2's new album, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, the Irish rockers' sixth stateside No. 1. In other music news, Gwen Stefani's premier solo disc — Love, Angel, Music, Baby— enjoyed a better opening week than any with her group No Doubt; the platter entered the chart at No. 7. Right behind the platinum blond, in eighth place, was Fantasia, whose Free Yourself became the first debut album by an American Idol winner not to enter in first place. (Her predecessor Ruben Studdard's new I Need an Angel CD also bowed last week — at No. 20.)
