developed for chemical warfare. In Antarctica, where the intense cold kills off the germs, a few hundred people survive the apocalyptic events and are left with the task of repopulating the planet. Though some intriguing ideas are introduced, many of the sequences are just cliched leftovers from

sci-fi predecessors. En route to a location in the Antarctic, the ship carrying the film's crew and company had the misfortune of striking a reef, perilously stranding them for several days and further plaguing the production.
