Decent remake of John Ford's 1930 Spencer Tracy-Humphrey Bogart prison comedy, this time starring Foster and Treacher as two con men who find themselves the stars of the prison football team (the sport was baseball in 1930). When one of their prison buddies, Martin, learns that his

mother is being conned by some unscrupulous crooks led by Toler, the experienced con-men/football-stars decide to help by breaking out (they dress up as women) and taking care of the villains. When their escape is discovered, prison warden Dinehart goes into a frenzy--not because they have escaped

justice, but because he has bet a fortune on the upcoming football game and the team can't win without them. After setting things straight with Toler, Foster and Treacher calmly return to prison where they are hustled onto the football field to win the game in the final moments.
