A much-shuffled lineup left this "Three Mesquiteers" entry with only one original cast member--Livingston--with Raymond Hatton being replaced by Davis, and Duncan Renaldo stepping aside for Steele. The story, however, is far from new, with Livingston returning home after a long absence to

find that his father has been killed. When he hears that Steele has been accused, he knows that something is up, and finally uncovers a plot by new sheriff Brandon to frame the Mesquiteer--proof that change doesn't always bring progress with it. Love-interest Ranson seems uncomfortable with this
