The Undefeated: Review
A mediocre western, which suffers especially in comparison to TRUE GRIT, released the same year. Here Wayne plays a Union colonel who is leading a herd of 3,000 horses into Mexico, with Gabriel, his adopted Indian son, at his side. Also en route to Mexico is Confederate colonel Hudson, who is leading an exodus of fellow Southerners to a place where they won't have to see their land devoured by carpetbaggers. The two colonels meet and unite in a fight against Mexican bandits....
