Big with the southern drive-in circuit of stock car racing fans, this independently made film tells the tale of a couple of hotshot "good ol' boys," Kirk and Stricklyn, who battle it out on the track night after night for the checkered flag. While the publicity people claim the pair hate
each other, they're actually friends--until they set eyes on the same girl, that is. Overdramatization gives the story unintentional laughs, and the two racers seem a bit old to be fighting like jealous high-school kids over a girl.
