This is an extremely ugly film. Cameron Mitchell, in one of his most reprehensible roles, plays a deranged building superintendent who kills off his female victims with an array of implements--a hammer, drill, screwdriver, and nail gun--from his toolbox. All of this is motivated by the death of his daughter, which was somehow caused by "sinful" behavior. He even kidnaps the one girl he considers pure, dresses her up like his daughter, ties her to a bed, and forces her to listen to his sobbing rendition of "Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child." Not only is this truly sick stuff, but the production is so low-budget, and the photography so muddy, that a sense of ultrasleaze prevails. The bizarre cast includes Aneta Corseaut, who played Helen Crump on "The Andy Griffith Show," and porno star Kelly Nichols, who is murdered with the nail gun.
