A sad attempt to try to get the blood going by showing a bunch of commandos in action, flying into Norway to rescue a Norwegian general from the grip of the Nazis. The twist has one of the ex-girl friends of a commando now working for the enemy: she does her best to get back at her old

flame, but it's not enough to stop the stalwart heroes. The Poverty Row Producers Releasing Corporation had recently been absorbed by the Pathe Corporation, and its moguls had decided that, after a long hiatus, they wanted to get back into picture production and distribution. WW II offered

exploitation opportunities; the small company cranked out 10 such war-related films in a short period of time, rivaling the patriotic efforts of some of the major studios in quantity if not in quality. The industry was into conservation of necessary wartime materials, and a cost ceiling of $5,000

for new materials had been imposed on individual movie sets. This would have appeared to favor the low-budget, fast-film specialists such as PRC, but the majors responded by reusing their old sets effectively at a time when shortages forced the companies to sterilize and recycle even the hairpins

of the stars.
