The often-filmed story of the western-outlaw Younger clan gets an okay telling in this film. Morris, Bennett, Hutton, and Brown are the four siblings who have to stay out of trouble for the final two weeks of their parole so they can obtain a pardon. Using the seductive Paige to do his

dirty work, Clark maneuvers the boys into the incriminating middle of a bank holdup, but the Youngers turn the tables, abort the robbery, and are rewarded with pardons. The direction is effective but not much more than that, creating a standard western with nothing new to add to the Younger

legend. The title quartet aren't bad, playing off one another with aplomb. This was Morris' second time around as one of the nefarious brothers. He had previously been a member of that clan in 1941's BAD MEN OF MISSOURI. But where are the James boys?
