This lighthearted "Movie of the Week" Western, written and directed by Roy Huggins (creator of TV's Maverick), finds a footloose young gambler searching for the owner of a mysterious fortune.

Stephen Foster Moody (Roger Davis, of TV's Dark Shadows), "a serious student" of gambling, took a personal oath to spend the rest of his life avoiding "hard liquor and hard work" after doing hitches in both the the Union and Confederate armies. Thief Aarom Grimes (Wally Cox) robs a bank, and various interested parties -- including Moody -- set themselves to finding it. The action is light and, as he did in Maverick, Huggins has a fine old time playing with Western cliches.
