The Yellow Slippers

An orphaned youngster in 16th-century Poland helps capture a thief, receiving a pair of yellow slippers as a reward. He becomes a sculptor's apprentice but is later abducted by the vengeful criminal. The boy is rescued, however, just as the sculptor unveils his new work--the Altar of St. Mary's Church. Released in Poland in 1961.
