Archeologist Lundigan and photographer Castle trek through the jungles of Mexico with the help of guide Silvestre hoping to find the remnants of a lost Toltec civilization. Lush vegetation and credible old monumental ruins provide the most interest in this hackneyed expedition story, with

the two male leads vying for Castle's favors until, finally, Silvestre sacrifices his life so that the two survivors may make it back to civilization. The Mexican players tend to outshine the Anglo leads, with honors going to Silvestre and Monteros as the girl who loves him. The film's one song is

vocalized in Spanish by de Montenegro and Gallardo early in the picture, then reprised in English by the off-camera Don Durant.
