An unusual independent production features Shandel as a student who rents a house for three weeks to do research but soon discovers that the house has an occupant, Peterson, a ghost from another era, and Shandel's studies take some unusual bends. The two fall in love and teach one

another about their respective cultures until at last Shandel can no longer handle an ethereal lover. Her sanity becomes questionable, and she flees from the house. This quirky, low-budget production works thanks to the skill of the two leads. The anachronistic love affair is honest and believable

through Shandel and Peterson's fine chemistry. Direction takes care with the subject, giving a few Ingmar Bergman-inspired touches within the telling that greatly enhance the story's atmosphere.
