Mills and Harding are a pair of young troublemakers assigned to a convent school run by Russell. Try as she may, Russell is unable to stop the two from wreaking their own brand of havoc on the place. The nuns are surprised by finding bubble bath in place of their dinner-table sugar, and

one student gets her face covered with quick-drying plaster when the duo tries to make a mask. Despite the antics, Russell sees some good in the girls and is determined to win them over. One night, she helps Harding make a dress and reveals that she once dreamed of becoming a fashion designer.

When one of the convent sisters passes away, Mills is deeply moved by the simple yet devout funeral service. Finally, by graduation, Russell's patience is rewarded. Mills is completely reformed and wants to become a nun herself. The comedy in the film's first portion is repetitious and

predictable. However, once the film takes a serious turn, things improve, although the structure is little more than connected set pieces. Russell and Mills play well off one another, and ex-stripper Lee isn't bad as a lay instructor. The large cast works well as an ensemble, but the direction is

surprisingly perfunctory. A livelier directing style would have enhanced the story's charm. This was Lupino's first film since 1953's THE BIGAMIST. A sequel, WHERE ANGELS GO--TROUBLE FOLLOWS, was made in 1968.
