When a local crusading district attorney is killed by a poisoned dart, newspaperman Stone looks into the murder. He, too, is killed, so gossip columnist Heyburn takes on the story. He ends up finding the killer--his own boss, publisher Jackson--and marrying his secretary, Courtney, as

parts to many female leads, here handles the female lead spot well herself.
