A witty haunted-house comedy starring Caesar and Miles as a married couple who drag their precocious son, Gordon, along with them to a New England summer home that happens to be infested with ghosts. Soon after their arrival, dozens of strange and malicious things occur (things breaking,

moving, etc.), and everyone immediately assumes that Gordon is to blame. Gordon is the only one in the family who can see the spirits, and he learns that the three of them were condemned to haunt the establishment when the newlywed bride, Daley, caught her husband, Donner, in a compromising

situation with servant girl Townsend and killed both of them and herself (by accident). Upset that their home has been disturbed, the ghostly trio set about driving the guests out. After the spirits sink not one, but two of wealthy uncle McGiver's yachts, Caesar and Miles think the boy has gone

totally insane. Unfortunately for McGiver, ghost Daley takes a shine to him and scares him to death so that he can join her in the netherworld. In the end the family packs up and heads for less bizarre surroundings, leaving McGiver, Daley, Donner, and Townsend in ghostly bliss. Produced and

directed by horror vet William Castle, who knew how to scare the pants off moviegoers when he was feeling more serious.
