Upon arriving in Los Angeles, gangster Katcher leases a deserted Laurel Canyon mansion as his base of operations. He plans to rob the Hollywood Sports Arena and hires some local thugs as his crew. McDonald is the lonely cashier at the arena whom Katcher proceeds to court, and soon he has

her involved as well. The robbery is successful, and Katcher manages to elude the police, who try to nab him in a wild chase. Katcher steals some acid from a chemical warehouse and puts it in a bathtub. This he uses to destroy the bodies of the accomplices whom he has already done away with.

Assuming that everyone who had helped him is dead, Katcher heads for Rio. But after his money's gone he returns to Hollywood, only to be killed by McDonald. Katcher is a one-man show here, serving as producer, director, writer, and star. The result is a sort of strange ego-fest in which he mugs it

up like a bad Peter Lorre. As a writer-director he lacks any sense of style or comprehension of how to build suspense. The result is either a bad crime picture or an unintentional laugh-fest; take your pick.
