Buchanan is a small-town newspaper publisher; Craven, the local banker. Though bound by a strong friendship, the two constantly fight. When Buchanan publishes an obituary he's written for his pal, predictable complications ensue. This is a simplistic one-joke comedy tediously stretched

despite the odds he's up against.
