This low-budget WW II film stars Sturgeon as an American POW captured by the Japanese while gathering intelligence around the isle of Leyte in preparation for General MacArthur's upcoming invasion. The Japs torture Sturgeon to try to get the information, but he won't talk, so they devise

an insidious plan to execute one innocent Filipino a day until he changes his mind. Meanwhile, another American soldier, Parsons, parachutes into the hills and convinces the Filipino rebels to launch an attack to free Sturgeon. The attack fails, however, and the Japanese continue to execute the

locals. Sturgeon finally breaks and decides to talk, but he is killed by angry Filipinos before he can speak. This causes a chaotic uprising and the rebels from the hills launch another attack. As he dies, Sturgeon stabs the Japanese commander to death and the guerrillas defeat the garrison.
