Hope is a sergeant stationed with his troops in the South Seas. As a morale booster he has a shipload of beer sent to the islands, but it is lost in transit and his troops are not satisfied with the substitute, nurse Diller. Hope sets out to locate the lost alcohol and finds not only the

suds but a Japanese sub that he captures. It would take a shipload of beer to be able to sit through this picture just once, especially with the obnoxious Diller filling up screen time. One of Hope's worst, ditto for Tashlin. Produced by both NBC (the NA--NAtional Broadcasting of the company name)

and Hope (the HO of HOpe), a collaboration that thankfully was not too active.
