A disappointing all-star extravaganza with a silly plot that must have been sold to the assembled cast by one of the greatest con-men of all time. The "plot" concerns a secret American government agency that forms a rock 'n' roll band to infiltrate Communist Albania and rescue the American

entertainers who are being held hostage there. A computer advises the agency to gather together a black model, a college radical, an athlete, and a native American for a typical, youth-oriented band eventually christened "The Phynx." After some not-so-hilarious comedy interludes, the band makes

its way to Albania, collapses the prison walls by churning out unbelievably loud electric guitar chords, and frees the trapped entertainers! The film is supposed to be a ridiculous, lighthearted farce, but the filmmakers and stars are so un-hip and so condescending that the whole thing just comes

off as ignorant and infantile. Just take a gander at the cast list to see the variety of performers who were suckered into this mess. Must be seen to be believed.
