Badly conceived Autry western that has everything but the kitchen sink thrown into it. Autry, as the singing sheriff of a small sagebrush town, meets a young singer, Manning, who left her club in Chicago after witnessing a murder. With the police and gangsters hot on her trail, Manning

hides in the western town. Recognized by Autry and local bad guy Keefe, the girl soon finds herself in danger. The mobsters arrive armed with machine guns and Autry kicks the city slicker varmints out of town. In the end Autry kisses Manning for the fade. The film's highlights include the

less-than-worrisome Sons of the Pioneers as bandits and a fight between Autry and a young and still undiscovered Dick Weston (soon to be Roy Rogers).
