editor, however, is not convinced and does some digging himself. At the morgue he learns of Hatton's close relationship with the dead man's widow, vampish Livingston, and he builds a strong case against Hatton, which Haver overturns in a neat coup for a scoop in the end. THE OFFICE SCANDAL was to

be the next to last movie ever made by the 1920s' popular sex queen, tall, blond Haver, before she married a New York millionaire and retired from the screen.
