Abbott and Costello play a pair of window washers who are mistaken for gamblers and get mixed up with gangsters. This minimal plot, however, is really just an excuse for the great comedy team to strut its patented stuff. The bits are as old as movies, but the boys give the material an

invigorating spin. There's a well-timed bit with a pair of pants that is an excellent display of physical comedy, and the fellas also engage in some snappy wordplay (in the same vein as the famous "Who's on first?" routine) as they fool around with the phrase "You can't be here." A good supporting

cast, fine comedy direction, and, of course, the irrepressible Abbott and Costello combine for some very funny moments.
