The Mouse And His Child

Pretty dull children's film based on the novel by Russell Hoban about a mechanical mouse and his son whose wish is to be self-winding some day. The animation is very good, the voice talent fine, but most of the film is more talk than action. The material is preachy and pretentious and seems to have been written for 1960s adults, not children.
