This failed attempt at racy comedy stars Velez as a Middle Eastern harem girl who escapes her servitude by stowing away on aristocratic archaeologist Hunter's boat, which is returning to England so he can collect a large inheritance. Discovered en route, Velez pleads with Hunter not to turn

her in and to allow her to travel to England, where she can track down some relatives to stay with. He agrees and lets her stay with him while searching for her family. Romance soon blossoms, and Velez is determined to marry Hunter. But when Allen, Hunter's friend, persuades Velez that Hunter

cannot, and will not, marry her, the distraught Velez flees to Paris with sleazy gigolo Madison. Hunter travels to Paris to retrieve her and finds her singing in a cafe. When he learns that Velez and Madison parted company soon after their arrival in France, Hunter asks to marry her. Hunter's

understated performance as the reluctant, introverted suitor saves this fairly routine film.
