When an aging piano player (Jurgens) grants Alda an interview strange things happen. Jurgens, a practicing satanist, takes over Alda's body to continue living after he dies of leukemia. Jakob Gimpel does a piano rendition of Franz Liszt's "The Mephisto Waltz."
