Based on the 1936 Harold Lloyd film THE MILKY WAY, THE KID FROM BROOKLYN overcomes its hokey plot with great songs and plenty of style, and the result is a happy amalgam of nonsense and laughter. Danny Kaye plays Burleigh Sullivan, a wimpy milkman who inadvertently becomes a champion
